How might we diversify clean energy supply chains and accelerate the energy transition?

Challenge areas:

In Round 3, we called for solutions that address one or more of the following challenge statements, aimed at strengthening renewable energy systems, supporting national economies, and driving climate resilience:

  • Advance clean energy materials and processing: technologies that support the processing, recovery and/or reuse of critical minerals and materials.
  • Enhance performance and durability: designs, technologies, components, infrastructure or manufacturing pathways that improve system performance, durability and lifespan.
  • Enable smarter systems: software, hardware and/or digital solutions that enhance the manufacturing, asset management, storage and deployment of clean and renewable energy.
