Kardinia Energy

Kardinia Energy’s vision is to revolutionise the renewable energy sector through commercialising and rapidly scaling its novel Printed Solar panel technology.

Printed Solar is a novel solar energy technology that uses polymer-based inks printed via high-speed roll-to-roll (R2R) techniques enabling ultra-low-cost, large-area solar panel production.

Features include a fully recyclable carbon-based photoactive layer between two electrodes, yielding ultralightweight, ultrathin, highly flexible modules that are 100% recyclable. This transformative profile unlocks renewable energy access in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Consequently, Printed Solar complements existing technologies by expanding the total addressable solar market. For example, industrial, warehouse, and commercial (IWC) rooftops across LMICs – such as the 5,000+ million m² in India – often can’t support silicon or even thin-film modules.

Printed Solar overcomes these limitations, enabling clean energy deployment across vast untapped and uncontested surfaces.

“RISE Accelerator is the logical next step for Kardinia Energy to realise on the enormous interest from the Indian market in our Printed Solar panels; spanning product purchase, licencing, distributions and manufacturing inquiries. The program will assist Kardinia Energy address technology concerns by establishing a fully operational installation that demonstrates performance in sub-continental climates.”
